Willa Cruikshank (Sea Creature / Animal)

Willa Cruikshank (Sea Creature/Animal/Ensemble) is very excited for her first community theater experience with SME. She is a rising fourth grader at Gilbert Linkous Elementary School, in Blacksburg,VA. Willa has been interested in theater since an early age but just recently got started. Willa loves Mountain biking, Guitar, Irish Dancing, singing, Outer Space, and dogs.

Tucker Miller (Grimsby)

Tucker Miller is glad to perform in SME’s production of The Little Mermaid. You may have seen him in past productions with SME including Sweeney Todd, Shrek The Musical, and Peter Pan, or in other recent local productions such as The Sap of Life presented by students and faculty of Virginia Tech. Tucker studied musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy(AMDA) in New York. You may also recognize him from his job as a Barista at the First and Main Starbucks. He would like to thank the production team and the community behind SME for always creating amazing summer experiences!

Tristan Hurst (Chef / Sea Creature / Animal)

Tristan Hurst (Chef/ensemble) cannot wait for his debut with Summer Musical Enterprise. Performing most recently with BHS as Sky in Mamma Mia!, Tristan hopes to continue theatre with clubs as an upcoming freshman at William and Mary this fall.

Todd Triplett (King Triton)

Todd is eager to journey under the sea in this summer’s production. This is his third appearance with SME. He has been a part of many other performances both on and off stage: Maurice (Beauty and the Beast – SME), Salesman #5/Constable Locke (The Music Man – SME), Sky Masterson (Guys and Dolls), Technical Director/Set Designer (The Diary of Ann Frank). In his free time, who are we kidding he doesn’t have free time!! Many thanks to the artistic team for giving him this opportunity, his fellow cast members for their support and to Cheri and Emily for always being a part of his world.

Sylvia MacNab (Sea Creature / Animal)

Sylvia MacNab (Sea Creature/Animal) is excited to be returning for her third Summer Musical Enterprise production. Recent credits include Fun Home (Small Alison) with Virginia Tech’s School of Performing Arts, Willy Wonka Jr. (Charlie) with Blacksburg Middle School, The Christmas Cup (Brenda) with Mill Mountain Theatre, and Beauty and the Beast (Chip) and The Music Man (Amaryllis) with Summer Musical Enterprise. Next up, she’ll be appearing as Brigitta in Mill Mountain Theatre’s production of The Sound of Music. Sylvia is an eighth-grader at Blacksburg Middle School. She would like to thank Nancy, Kevin, Susanna, and her friends and family for their constant support. Enjoy the show!

Shelby Hawley (Sea Creature / Animal)

Shelby Hawley is very excited to be performing in The Little Mermaid. She is a student at CHS. She played Crutchy in a recent musical that was performed by CHS, Newsies. She enjoys singing, acting and dancing and would like to share that all with you to see in The Little Mermaid. She hopes you all enjoy!

Scarlett Hurst (Chef / Sea Creature / Animal)

Scarlett Hurst is so excited to be a part of Summer Musical Enterprise’s production of The Little Mermaid! Her latest role was in Blacksburg High School’s spring musical, Mamma Mia. She’s also been in Singin’ in the Rain, and Aladdin Jr both performed by Blacksburg High School. Scarlett is 16 and will be a Junior at Blacksburg High School this school year. She can’t wait to explore her theatrical journey even further.

R.J. Ragland (Sailor)

R.J. Ragland is a senior at Radford University as a performance theatre major and he is the president of the men’s acapella group Low Key. After he graduates next year, he hopes to move down to Charlotte, N.C. in the hopes of doing some theatre work. Favorite roles include Ram Sweeney in “Heathers”, Axel Hammond in “The Nerd”, Richard Henry Lee in “1776”, Owen Musser in “The Foreigner”, and on two separate occasions he’s played as Ali Hakim and Andrew Carnes in “Oklahoma”. He would like to thank all of the cast and crew in this show for making this a fun summer for him, his cat Niko for the loves and cuddles, and you for coming out to see the show.

Perry Freeman (Sea Creature / Animal)

Perry Freeman is returning to the stage after his triumphal performance as Chip 2 years ago in the Beauty and Beast production by SME. Last year, Perry sharpened his dancing skills performing in the Character Dance class offered by the Galax Conservatory of Dance and Theatre. Perry spends his free time climbing trees, practicing cello, reading books and serving his family. He hopes to be a baker when he grows up so he can make people happy. In this play, he is excited to perform with his dad, Alex Freeman.

Patrick Marks (Prince Eric)

Patrick Marks is excited to return to the Haymarket stage for this production! Recent favorite roles include Gabe (Next to Normal) and JD (Heathers: The Musical). He is in love with the theatre and is constantly seeking out new performance opportunities. Otherwise, he may also be Spiderman in his spare time and you’d never know it. He would like to give a shoutout to Kyle and his mother for their support.
