The cast of Summer Musical Enterprise’s 2026 production of Fiddler on the Roof is complete! What an amazing display of talent that was shown at auditions. Some new and familiar faces will be joining us this summer and we cannot wait for you to be apart of it!

Not to be stopped, we had a third production this year, The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon, written by Don Zolidis.
We performed in two venues including Warm Hearth and Mountain Lake Lodge.
This show took audiences to Hopewood Falls in Vermont where quirky singles, charming inns, and unexpected romances collided in ways only a holiday parody could deliver.

For our Mainstage summer show we brought a classic, The Wizard of Oz, to the stage, again featuring flying effects by ZFX Inc.
This was another revival show for us! Our first production of The Wizard of Oz was in 1997!
This production also featured a large cast with a dedicated understudy show.

We mounted another murder mystery to sold out audiences at The Junebug Center and Warm Hearth.
The show was written by SME Alumnus Alex Parrish, with additional writing by Jeff McCoy. This show took the audience back to 1985 with the Prom Reunion Committee.
Things took a dark turn when Ron ends up dead! It was up to the audience to solve the mystery and figure out who dunnit before the night was over!

Our Summer Mainstage Show featured a show that pulled out all the stops—-professional sets by Front Row Theatrical, Flying by ZFX, Inc., and a huge cast boasting understudies who had their own show!
This show marked our debut in the state-of-the art Center for the Arts at VT!

In February we mounted our first Murder Mystery Last Call At Chez Mort at The Bad Apple Barn in Pembroke to sold out audiences!
This show helped audiences return to the Golden age of the 1940s and the famous Jazz club “Chez Mort”. On this particular night, the club was the scene of a strange accident. Or was it an accident?
As newspapers of the day reported: “Ingenue ‘Sweet Sue’ Blutowsky was mysteriously and fatally cut short during her debut singing performance. Inspector Constantine was quick on the scene to investigate the strange circumstances surrounding the shocking events.”
In attendance on that fateful night was the infamous hoodlum Big Suit Stu and his Russian bodyguard or maybe he was German. Anyway..
Was Big Suit the culprit? Or was it the ditzy French Emcee Jean Paul Truffaut? Maybe it was the happy go lucky Stage Hand or someone else.
Journey back in time and join the good inspector on that dark and rainy evening.

We bring back Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was first written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber at the request of a friend of Andrew’s father, Colet Court School choirmaster Alan Doggett, for the school’s 1968 end of term concert.
We once again featured a large cast of about 50 with immense talent. This show was a crowd favorite and received standing ovations at every show.

This year marked our triumphant return to the stage after COVID 19 shuttered theatres across the world.
This rousing production boasted a large cast (over 60!) of extremely talented singers and dancers!
The production was very successful despite patrons continuing concerns about COVID 19 and an outbreak within the cast and and crew which led to the cancellation of one show!
The audience showed deep appreciation for this show with standing ovations each time!

To raise funds for our return to the stage after COVID, we produced All Together Now!
This world wide fundraising event celebrated the return of live theatre and allowed organizations around the world to locally produce and perform an exclusive Broadway musical revue featuring songs from licensing agent Musical Theatre International’s most beloved musicals showcasing the most spectacular local talent from the New River Valley!
Direction was provided by a team of SME performers including Cindy Blevins, Jeff McCoy, Hannah Tucker Albert, Reilly Blevins, and Brad Kraft.
The show was performed in Tall Oaks Hall at Warm Hearth with simple set pieces such as cubes/stools/chairs and stand mics.
