Norin Bortz is ecstatic to be performing her second show with Summer Musical Enterprise. She is an upcoming 10th grader at Blacksburg High school and just loves being on stage. She recently participated in a musical theater class at BHS and it just expanded her love for the stage (thanks to Carrie Mayer). Norin is even more excited to be doing this show with her mother and sister, her sister is attending Elon University for BFA acting and Norin could not be prouder. She is so excited to share her passion for theatre with her sister one more time before she leaves.

Natalie Miller is very exciting to be portraying a maid and a flying sea creature in The Little Mermaid with Summer Musical Enterprise this year! Natalie is a sophomore at Christiansburg High School. This is Natalie’s third SME production, she has been in The Music Man and Beauty and The Beast. She has also performed in The Lion King Jr. with Christiansburg Middle School. She would like to thank her mom, Jennifer for being a part of the flight crew, and her dad and sister for their support, and her teachers Ms. Steele and Mrs. Witten for fostering her love of theatre and music. Natalie wants to welcome you under the sea to be part of our world.

Matthew McPherson is delighted to be performing in his first Summer Musical Enterprise show. He has been in past shows at Blacksburg High School including Mamma Mia and Singin’ in The Rain. He wants to thank his parents for their constant support and love.

Martin Honaker is budding with excitement to be on stage with SME and is a rising 4th grade Price’s Fork Elementary Puma. His SME debut was Beauty and the Beast. Martin also plays piano and participates in BUMC’s children’s and handbell choirs. When not singing and dancing with SME, he loves being outside, especially playing baseball. “I thank God and my family, friends, and pets for loving and supporting me.”

Markley Bortz is excited to be returning for her second show with SME! Markley has been fortunate enough to start and end her high school journey with The Little Mermaid (She’s in Love with it)! This time around she gets to share the stage with 2/3ds of the other Bortzes (still working on Dad). Markley has recently performed in Blacksburg High School’s Mamma Mia!, Clue: Onstage, Singin’ in the Rain, and many many more. Markley recently attended the Virginia Governor’s School for Visual and Performing Arts, where she studied theatre. In the fall, Markley will be attending Elon University to pursue a BFA in acting. She’d like to thank her family for always supporting her unconditionally, and especially her mom, for trying something new.

Maria Westcott is very excited to be performing in her first show with SME! Maria is going into 4th grade, and loves art, music and reading. In her free time she likes crafting, swimming, soccer and playing with her dog and cat.

Marco Brizzolara is so enthusiastic to take part in Summer Music Institute’s production of “The Little Mermaid” as both a Chef and a Sailor. Although he had also acted as the main character (Don Lockwood) in Blacksburg High School’s “Singing in the Rain”, Marco is relatively new to performing in musicals and loves being part of such wonderful productions and everyone in it! Marco is a rising Sophomore at Virginia Tech, majoring in Physics and this will look forward to more productions in the future. Marco would like to thank everyone in the show for encouraging him and just being wonderful company.

Madison Stewart is delighted to perform in her first show with SME. Madison is a student at Blacksburg Middle School she loves to take part in her middle school theater club. She has had roles as Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka Jr. and a princess in Bedtime Stories as Told By Our Dad. Madison had a role as Ms. Mave in a Belmont Church production of We Three Spies. She was also part of the ensemble for Blacksburg High school’s production of The Little Mermaid.

Madison Lucero is delighted to be performing in this production of her favorite Disney character. She is a 5th grader at Gilbert Linkous Elementary. Madison is a member of the PowerPAC competition team at DanceTech Performing Arts Studio.

Liza Roth (sea creature/ sea gull) is so excited to be in The Little Mermaid. Other musical theatre productions she has been in include Beauty and the Beast with Summer Musical Enterprise, Scrooge the Musical with New River Stage, and Mamma Mia with Blacksburg High School. Liza will be a junior this year at Blacksburg High School.
