Musical Theater in the New River Valley
Emma Lehman (Ensemble/Sea Creature) is excited to be in her first show with Summer Musical Enterprise. Her recent credits include “S.P.A.R.” with Blacksburg High School and “Scrooge: The Musical” with New River Stage. Other credits include “Heathers: The Musical”, and quite a few shows with New River Stage and JoELoe productions. She is currently a student at Blacksburg High School.
Emma Lou Harvey (Kids’ Ensemble) is thrilled to be appearing in her first show with Summer Musical Enterprise! Recent credits include Annie with Roanoke Children’s Theatre (ensemble, understudy for Annie), Willy Wonka Jr. at Blacksburg Middle School (Charlie), and Alice in Wonderland with the Blacksburg Children’s Chorale (Alice). She is a rising seventh grader at Blacksburg Middle School where she is a member of the Bel Canto choir ensemble. When not on stage or in rehearsal she enjoys reading, writing, knitting, making videos, and listening to Broadway showtunes on iHeartRadio. She would like to thank her family and music / theatre teachers for supporting her theatrical endeavors, her friends for putting up with her endless singing, and SME for this opportunity. Emma Fravel, playing both a princess and a sea creature, is excited to be a part of SME. She has also been in Catch Me If You Can with North Central High School Theatre and was a part of the King’s Court Singers at North Central HS. She is a student at Virginia Tech majoring in Microbiology and is thrilled to be able to continue performing.
Emily Triplett is excited to be performing in her fifth SME production! She has appeared in Shrek the Musical, A Christmas Story, The Music Man and Beauty and the Beast. She is a rising senior at BHS, and has performed in many shows there, including It’s a Wonderful Life, Mamma Mia and Lafayette No. 1, just to name a few. On top of performing, she has assisted with costumes for several BHS productions. She is also a proud member of thespian troupe 3600. Emily would like to thank her parents, and she is so proud of the work her father has put in to portray the king of the sea. She would also like to thank her fellow cast members and directors for their support. Shout out to the seagull squad, thanks for all the AWK-ward moments.
Elizabeth Humphreys is delighted to be a part of Summer Musical Enterprises world for a second year! You may have seen her last year in “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”. Some of her other favorite performances include “Tarzan The Musical” and “Almost Maine” with Christiansburg High School. She will be attending James Madison University in the fall and hopes to Major in Music Performance with a Music Theatre Emphasis. When she is not on stage, you can see her working or relaxing at home drinking hot tea. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Dawn Viers is excited to be back with SME and to be performing with her daughters, Brynn Yaun (Attina) and Mia Yaun (tech crew), along with her second family, Leigh, Markley, and Norin! Previous roles include Pepper/Townsperson in Beauty and the Beast (SME), Pickalittle Lady in Music Man (SME) and Ostentatious Lady in The Nutcracker (Little Leapers). Dawn would like to thank her husband, Brian, for his patience in a house of women and to her friends and family for their support.
Damian Claxton Is a current a sophomore at Radford university and is a prenursing major Damian enjoys singing dancing and acting. he teaches fitness classes on campus taught by students for students. Damian sing the majority of the Sundays at blue ridge church in Christiansburg. Damian hopes this role in the little mermaid can inspire you to come out of your crabby shell.
Cindy Blevins has been involved in music and theater her entire life! This is her seventeenth consecutive production with SME. She has been seen on the SME stage in My Fair Lady (Eliza), Oliver! (Nancy), Kiss Me Kate (Lilli Vanessi/Kate), Anything Goes (Virtue), Forbidden Broadway (Carol Channing/Lady of the Lake/Barbra Streisand), A Christmas Story the Musical (Mother) and Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman/Pirelli). On the SME production side, Cindy served as Stage Director for Cinderella (2011) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (2018), Musical Director for Bye Bye Birdie (2007) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2009). Except for 2017,she has produced every show since 2010. When not on, under, or behind the stage, Cindy is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Chloe Guenette is so excited to be in her first production with SME. She has been doing theater since her freshman year of high school and loves every minute of it.
